Things I have learned today:

SC state insect is the praying mantis.

Duke Energy has absolutely no interest in building anything else commercially on Lake Wylie.

Acorns fall off a tree until said tree is empty. Well, I knew that already, but it was a point brought up today when question was asked how long acorns do fall from the trees. Sometimes the simplest answers work best. Thank you, Diane.

My Dad's friend Jim has the second longest boat on Lake Wylie.

The Navy and Air Force do not sponsor NASCAR cars because rednecks can't swim and the Air Force advertises on the Home & Garden Channel.
