So I was giving my thoughts on SOPA and PIPA last week and what the two bills meant to the United States and our freedoms on the internet. Well, there is actually a European version of the same bill: ACTA(Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) which is essentially the same thing but has been presented internationally AND accompanied with a lot more secrecy. You can read more about it here. Internet freedom is not an all or nothing subject. The internet is too big for that. Case in point: The Online Protection and Enforcement of Digital Trade-or OPEN has been introduced. Why has it not got more publicity? Damn good question because OPEN seems to be the answer to both sides. But it seems the media moguls are trying to take control of the internet(and then what?) and we as Americans or Europeans or whatever we are should not(if we are smart about it) let ACTA or PIPA or SOPA happen. So now that there is a viable solution, let’s all work on letting our respective congressperson aware that YOU are in FAVOR of OPEN. I watched a documentary on the history of Absinthe yesterday. Very informative and educational. If you have hulu/huluplus, [...]

I would like to thank each and everyone personally if you signed the petition to stop SOPA and PIPA. The effort that we as people and Americans put into this to make our voice heard is just an example of what we can do if we just step up and do it. And we did it!! A couple of points to be made here. Number one, we did it. So we know we can do it. If there is something you don’t like in the government, find like-minded people and help do something about. Or start your own revolution. But it can be done because we proved it. Second, now we have to watch to make sure that the SOPA isn’t privately passed while noone is paying attention. I personally have set up a email alert so that any thime SOPA shows up in the news, I can read about it. And take action again if I need to. So if the Super bowl is anything like the playoffs, I will not really care to watch it. Plus it’s just a rematch for 2006, anyways. –> Yawn!!!<— I will be more into the commercials and maybe Madonna if she puts [...]

Ran acrost this article that further represents and explains our present national debt. I found it humorous and ironic that Republicans are trying to put all of this on Obama. I am not an Obama fan, but blaming his presidency? Really? Read the article. You will see what I mean. So who am I for do you ask? I am a Paul supporter. I don’t think either Dems or Repubs should have control anymore. They should step aside and let a new outlook be put in place. I would like to see the Fairtax given a chance as well. The current government structure has run this country into the ground. Well into the ground as far as debt is concerned. So what are we waiting for? We. The People. The Americans. The ones that the Dems and Repubs are supposed to be working for? We should be wake up and TELL them that we want something different before it is too late and they ruin our future, this country, this planet. How do we do that? Get Ron Paul in there and never mind all this political bullshit. Lobbyists should all be tarred and feathered along with anyone on Wall [...]

Welcome to Tayappention 2012!!! Where we (I mean I) strive to entertain, educate and/or excruciate. As far as educate, let’s start with some stress busters. Hopefully one did not start the year with stress already, but here are 10 ways to help reduce it. Some of them I do, some I don’t. I should be able to get better at them. As far as entertainment, how about some web pics that just don’t make any damn sense. Lobster in arms, grieving bananas…it’s here for your entertainment!!! Some of these do make sense to me, but then…some people aren’t me. Finally, the expediently excruciating: To start off, I am a bit of a movie buff. I would probably have ended up a movie critic(paid, I mean) if movies weren’t so damned expensive to see in the theaters. Then I could watch them when they first come out. But alas, a lot of movies I watch aren’t even in the theaters. And I will add that a movie has got to be pretty damned bad for me to turn it off. I try to see the good/originality in every movie I watch. With that being said, some of them are pretty damned [...]

I am all about saving the ta-tas. Plus I am all about not hurting them in any way, shape or form. I have heard many women speaking of the pain and discomfort from current traditional breast exam techniques once you get to the doctor’s office. Not including the radiation my favorite female part is subjected to. Well, fret no more!!! Introducing MARIA!!! MARIA actually uses anti-landmine technology and involves no paddles to grimace your girls!!! And no risky radiation!!! Jolly good news!!! OK, now the bad news: More money is spent by 30 US corporations lobbying the US Congress than they pay in taxes. I know, right? WTF?!? You gotta read this article I ran across and SAY SOMETHING!!! Another one of the numerous wedges that is driving apart the Upper and middle class. Plus money that the government needs to run programs for the good of the rest of the country suffer greatly because of the tax shelters that these corporations enjoy. And enjoy enormously–to the tune of Billions of dollars!!! I find this music video strangely alluring… I am not sure, but this feline seems to be troubled.

I have talked about this in the past and someone who shares my views on negative seigniorage has made a video about it. It’s simple business…you have to cover your costs. If it costs 1.8 cents to make a penny, STOP FUCKING MAKING THEM!!! Geez!! Like geography? Like puzzles? Like Google Earth? Then this is for you!!! Marketing beer is so much fun. Especially when combined with body parts. SOPA. Stop Internet Piracy Act. I don’t know how they plan to enforce. But it’s wrong. Just ask Stephen Colbert. Very scary/enlightening article about how we are all in a proverbial prison.

I am not gonna bother wishing anyone a Happy Halloween…that’s just bodacious bullshit. I was sent by someone this video of Miss USA candidates being asked whether Math should be taught in schools. Watch here. I have to decide whether it is real or not. I hope not, though. I also saw this video which I thought was very interesting AND enlightening…we should be doing this, too. Canadians and their milk. Maybe we should be thinking more about how to get rid of cartons and waste. As opposed to…oh, well like making more babies. Yes, that’s right I said it. I mean I have nothing right with the ACT of making babies. I do it. Repeatedly. I should say I mean HAVING more babies. Especially if they end up like the Miss USA candidates in the first topic of this post. These baby-havers should be more like the Canadians who are doing something about the waste involved with being a human instead of creating more. I was planning to make the topic of reaching 7 Million people on this planet but the event happened before I could post on it. Wonder where you fall in the plethora of people on [...]

I read this report and found it to be very helpful, if I ever need to go to Tibet and have limited space to pack. Ok, well it was informative whether you are going to Tibet or not. Read it and find out what you should be taking everyday without fail. This whole housing issue in this country of ours has hit some areas harder than others. Plus this would be a good article to find cheap houses to buy. I read an article in USA Today that they have found an anti maria drug to save some 800, 000 kids from dying each year….Not to be morbid, but once we save them from malaria, how do we save them from starvation? How about some more senseless death? Did Ohioans really have to kill all those beautiful animals? They did nothing wrong.

I know my alliteration is usually prominent in the title, but this time, the content is a bit more considerable… Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling: “I could end the deficit in 5 minutes,” he told CNBC. “You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election” The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 – before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year or less to become the law of the land – all because of public pressure. Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around. _*Congressional Reform Act [...]
